About Me

Who I am as a therapist

As a person who identifies as queer and has experience working with the queer community, I work to ensure that I consider the uniqueness of the individual. I have experience working with individuals from a diverse and marginalized backgrounds across my career. I seek to connect with individuals and their experiences with compassion and humility.  In therapy you will be at the centre of the therapeutic journey.  Offering individualised therapeutic approaches that evokes the positive changes in meeting your therapy goals and sense of autonomy.

I specialise in Pluralistic psychotherapy, an integrative branch of therapy that applies a multitude of therapeutic models to suite your unique needs and differences. This approach promotes a mutual sense of collaboration and levels of cultural competency to make you as the individual feel heard and seen. In the therapeutic space, I will meet you with empathy and unconditional acceptance. I will ensure that I provide a safe space for you to explore the depths of your difficulties and work with you to evoke change. There is no limit to the number of sessions as I implement a person-centred framework, however, sessions are regularly reviewed to clarify the usefulness of sessions.

I use creative ways of promoting self-learning, direction and understanding. I am interested in applying parts of neuroscience to identify what may be going on biologically in the body.

I have had experience with working with the following issues:

- LGBTQIA+

- Depression & Low Mood

- Neurodiversity

- Anxiety & Panic

- OCD

- Grief

- Trauma

- Domestic violence

- Victims of abuse

- Relationship issues

- Chronic health issues

- Low self-esteem

I am based in the North Manchester area for face to face sessions but can work with people all over the UK if working online or via telephone.

Thanks so much,

Nicole
